The Jackson Laboratory begins construction of employee housing on MDI. The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) has begun work on Woodlands Lane Apartments, a housing initiative for its employees. The 24-apartment complex will be located on the western side of Route 3, less than a mile from the research institution’s Bar Harbor headquarters. NOTE: The Jackson Laboratory Japan is the result of the acquisition of Charles River Laboratories Japan in October, 2021. To ensure a seamless transition for our existing customers, CRL order and inquiry procedures will remain in place for the time being.
