The Saint Arnold Brewing Company is a craft brewery in Houston, Texas, USA, named after a patron saint of brewing, Saint Arnulf of Metz. It was founded in 1994 by Brock Wagner and Kevin Bartol, graduates of Rice University. The brewery offers tours every weekday & Saturday afternoons, which have attracted a large following. Arnold was born around 580 in Layum castle, today known as Lay-Saint-Christophe near Nancy in the country known as Austrasia . His father was Baudgise (d. 588), Palace Mayor and Duke of Sueve. His mother was Oda. After successful Latin studies, Arnold was taken under the tutelage of Gondulphe who was either Bishop of Metz or Palace Mayor.Bishop’s Barrel No. 21 is a Belgian Quadrupel aged in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels for 15 months. The base beer is our Divine Reserve No. 13 recipe. The beer pours a dark mahogany color with a tan head. Aroma bursts with baked cherries soaked in bourbon.
